Special Message from Davy Liu

From The Lion King to The King of Kings

I’ve had the honor of helping create classic animated films for major children’s entertainment giants like Disney, Warner Bros., and Lucasfilm. Chasing my Hollywood dream as a Christian filmmaker, my goal was crystal clear: to win an Oscar for Christ.

But in 1999, while working on Star Wars, God did something unexpected. He sent a mysterious creature to my backyard—one with tentacles. That divine encounter reshaped everything. It redirected my purpose from chasing accolades to winning souls.

Now, through my animation studio, Kendu Films, I’m telling stories that point children and families to the love of Christ.

We Kendu it.

Keynote Speaker – Todd Stottlemyre

At 16 years old, Todd Stottlemyre made the most courageous decision of his young life—he became a bone marrow donor for his 11-year-old brother, who was battling leukemia. He was the only match. But the transplant that was meant to save his brother’s life instead put him into a coma and ultimately took his life. That tragedy shattered Todd. He carried the crushing belief that he was responsible for his brother’s death —a burden that rewired his mind with guilt, self-hatred, and emotional chaos.

Years later, from the outside looking in, Todd appeared to be living the dream. He was in his twenties, making millions, and had just won his second World Series title. But inside, he was broken. He hated himself. It was at that moment of peak external success that Todd finally reached out for help. And that’s when the real transformation began.

He began the deep, internal work of rewiring his mind—learning how to forgive himself, master his emotions, and build a mindset rooted in truth, discipline, and self-leadership. That journey not only extended his Major League career to 15 seasons, including three World Series championships, but it became the foundation for a life of purpose far beyond the game.

After baseball, Todd channeled that same relentless mindset into business. He became a top-performing financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, went on to lead a hedge fund, and co-founded a thriving fast-casual franchise restaurant company in the poke space—where he remains actively involved today as a founder and operator. He continues to build and advise businesses through entrepreneurship and private equity.

Now a high-performance coach, bestselling author, keynote speaker, and advisor to top business leaders and athletes, Todd is on a mission to help others break free from limiting beliefs, rewire their thinking, and achieve peak success in every area of life.

His methods are rooted in both lived experience and the science of success. His latest book, The Observer: A Modern Fable on Mastering Your Mind, is available now wherever books are sold.

Todd is also a devoted husband and father of five—living every day by the same principles he teaches.

Every Bible-believing high-impact leader faces resistance—and if you don’t recognize the spiritual battle behind the scenes, you risk abandoning the very assignment God gave you. In this bold, faith-fueled keynote, Athena Dean Holtz equips business and ministry leaders to discern the enemy’s tactics, stand firm, and finish the mission with clarity and courage.

What Attendees Will Gain:

  1. Spiritual Discernment for the Pushback
Attendees will learn how to recognize subtle forms of resistance—like doubt, distraction, and discouragement—as spiritual warfare, not just personal weakness or procrastination.
  2. Practical Tools to Equip and Empower Others
Coaches and leaders will walk away with faith-filled strategies to support their clients, teams, or communities through the spiritual and emotional battles that often accompany gospel-driven purposes.
  3. Renewed Boldness to Recognize the Pressure to Compromise
They’ll be re-ignited in their calling, armed with biblical truth, and commissioned to recognize when the enemy is at work, stand firm, resist his schemes, do the right thing even when it hurts, and help others complete the God-given work they’ve been entrusted to steward.

Problems, challenges and concerns are inescapable realities in our world. As believers, we are new creatures in Christ, but many of us struggle with the same dilemma which seemed to plague the Apostle Paul. How do we live this Christian life in the spirit in a world filled with wounded souls, including our own?  There is timeless wisdom on how to navigate this world, our personal issues, and this wisdom is so much more than Christian clichés:  It is truth!

The Audience Will Learn: (1) There is wisdom to rely on for every day living, (2) Being grounded in the Word is the key to Godly wisdom, and (3) We all struggle in this life. Therefore, we can use our personal experiences to mentor others for growth. To this end, personal anecdotes from my life will be shared.

Deuteronomy 4 calls us to live in a way that makes the world say, “What an amazing God you must serve!” If our leadership looks just like the world’s, we’re doing it wrong. This session challenges Christian executives to reclaim biblical principles the marketplace is only now catching up to — and shows how to build a business that boldly reflects your faith and serves people with purpose.

1) Learn the importance of Seeing those you interact with
2) Understand what your culture really is so you can build it in an intentional way to serve everyone that touches your business
3) Know the most common reasons people quit their leaders and how to avoid it happening to you

Using examples from my life and work, I discuss the increase in value to ones life by using a method for decision making, and the reasons why.   The most foundational decision to make of course, is that of trusting God with one’s life both here and forever in Heaven.  I will share a self -scoring tool with attendees for their own use to evaluate where they land with regard to making good decisions.

I will talk about how the practical application of a decision making method will clear much of the stress and mess out of decision making.  The method I present is taken from my life as an RN, and it has been used for decades in medicine and nursing.  When it is not tampered with it works very well, and is effective.

I also discuss the need for emotional sobriety in decision making.  Based on the work of Dr. Andrea Vitz, I will show the listener how vital it is. One cannot expect high quality decisions when in a state of emotional intoxication.

Finally, I will incorporate concepts learned from my study and pursuit of learning about purpose in decision making.  Not understanding one’s purpose here on terra firma leaves one in a state of restless upheaval.  It is exhausting and also contributes to low quality decisions.  We CAN do and learn better for ourselves, our families, friends, coworkers and business teams.
