Using examples from my life and work, I discuss the increase in value to ones life by using a method for decision making, and the reasons why. The most foundational decision to make of course, is that of trusting God with one’s life both here and forever in Heaven. I will share a self -scoring tool with attendees for their own use to evaluate where they land with regard to making good decisions.
I will talk about how the practical application of a decision making method will clear much of the stress and mess out of decision making. The method I present is taken from my life as an RN, and it has been used for decades in medicine and nursing. When it is not tampered with it works very well, and is effective.
I also discuss the need for emotional sobriety in decision making. Based on the work of Dr. Andrea Vitz, I will show the listener how vital it is. One cannot expect high quality decisions when in a state of emotional intoxication.
Finally, I will incorporate concepts learned from my study and pursuit of learning about purpose in decision making. Not understanding one’s purpose here on terra firma leaves one in a state of restless upheaval. It is exhausting and also contributes to low quality decisions. We CAN do and learn better for ourselves, our families, friends, coworkers and business teams.
