John Dowling is a seasoned business executive, Marine Corps veteran, and author who has spent over two decades transforming parts and service operations in the heavy equipment industry. Known for his no-nonsense leadership style and passion for operational excellence, John built his career by turning chaos into structure and helping dealerships become more profitable, stable, and customer-focused.

John is the founder of Service by the Boxes, a consulting and training organization dedicated to helping heavy equipment dealerships improve absorption, drive profitability, and develop best-in-class leaders. He has spoken at leading industry conferences including AED, AEMP, and IEDA, and regularly consults with owners, dealer principals, and executive teams to improve fixed operations and long-term performance.

But beyond the boardroom and shop floor, John is a committed follower of Jesus Christ. A lifelong Christian and self-proclaimed armchair theologian, he has taught Sunday School for years and serves his local church faithfully. He believes deeply in the call for Christian leaders to boldly live out their faith in the workplace, setting a standard of integrity, humility, and servant leadership in today’s business world.
