In the pursuit of success, we often encounter deadlines, challenges, goals, and competition. It is common for people to point fingers, cast blame, and make excuses for their circumstances. However, when we challenge individuals to take responsibility and do their part, success becomes more than just empty words – it becomes the standard.
Throughout my NFL career, my time at ESPN, and my current platform in speaking and the head and health space, I have gained valuable insights into what it takes to achieve success. But success for me hasn’t only been about reaching professional milestones. It has also come through personal experiences, such as lying in intensive care, battling deep depression, relearning how to read, going through chemotherapy, and even undergoing open heart surgery.
These diverse experiences have shaped my perspective on success and have allowed me to help companies and individuals challenge themselves. By emphasizing personal integrity and encouraging self-reflection, I empower people to ask themselves, “Am I doing my part?” This self-check is a powerful tool for unlocking the full potential of their abilities. When individuals take ownership and responsibility, they not only become more productive but also find greater peace within themselves.
Together, let’s embrace personal growth, self-reflection, and taking responsibility for our actions, all of which lead us on the path to success.
